For the purposes of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
CHIEF OF POLICE. The Chief of the Mason Police Department or his or her designee.
GEM. Coral, diamond, emerald, pearl, ruby, sapphire or any decorative mineral of high value.
PRECIOUS METAL. Gold, silver or platinum in any form.
PRECIOUS METAL AND GEM DEALER. Any person, firm, partnership or corporation engaged in the business of purchasing personal property made of or containing precious metal or gems for the purpose of reselling these items in any form.
