§ 183.01 DEPUTY TAX COMMISSIONER.
   (a)   There is hereby created the position of Deputy Tax Commissioner for the city, which position shall be subject to appointment by the City Manager.
   (b)   The specifications for the position of Deputy Tax Commissioner shall be as follows:
      (1)   Minimum qualifications. A combination of experience and training equivalent to that represented by completion of the twelfth grade and at least two years of experience in keeping financial records and handling and accounting for money.
      (2)   Examples of duties. Accepts and accounts for money; posts, checks and balances tax account; prepares bank deposit slips; preparation of periodic financial reports; maintains accurate filing system; operates office machines, including typewriter and calculator.
      (3)   Specialized knowledge, abilities, skills and aptitudes. Knowledge of the methods, practices and terminology pertinent to tax, statistical and clerical work; working knowledge of journals; familiarity with common office appliances; ability to perform routine clerical work; ability to post and make arithmetical calculations rapidly and accurately; ability to understand and follow both oral and written instructions; skill in operating typewriters, adding machines and calculators; ability to write legibly; ability to handle correspondence as required; ability to work well with others and deal diplomatically with the public; aptitude and liking for the work involved.
