(a) The prerequisite qualifications for the Public Works Director are that the person shall have knowledge of street maintenance and repair, as well as knowledge about the operation and maintenance of construction equipment. Additionally, the Public Works Director shall have supervisory experience.
(b) The duties and responsibilities of the Public Works Director shall be supervision of maintenance and repair of all right-of-way improvements including streets, sidewalks and storm sewers. The Director shall also participate in the preparation of the annual Street Department budget and train and instruct employees in all phases of the Department’s work.
