§ 137.04 FINANCE TECHNICIAN; CREATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND DUTIES.
   (a)   There is hereby established the position of Finance Technician within the Finance Department. The Finance Technician shall be appointed by the City Manager and serve under the direction and supervision of the Finance Director.
   (b)   The prerequisite qualifications of the Finance Technician are that the person shall possess a working knowledge of the principles and practices of governmental accounting. Additionally, the person shall have a minimum of three years progressive work experience in general accounting, microcomputer and/or minicomputer accounting system operation. An associate or higher degree in a related area may be substituted for two years of work experience.
   (c)   The duties and responsibilities of the Finance Technician shall be to assist the Finance Director in the performance of the Finance Director’s duties in all aspects of accounting and records management.
