(A) (1) All household garbage, refuse and rubbish shall be collected at least once a week according to the following schedule and in accordance with the following schedule. Collection of garbage, refuse and rubbish from residential customers shall be completed on each day before the hour of 3:00 p.m. and shall be collected from various areas within the city in accordance with the following schedule, to wit:
Monday | From 159th Street south to 167th Street between Kedzie Parkway and Dixie Highway and from 156th Place south to 159th Street between Dixie Highway and Western Avenue |
Tuesday | From 159th Street south to 167th Street between Kedzie and the municipal boundary lying west of Crawford Avenue |
Wednesday | From 161st Street south to 167th Street between Dixie Highway and Park Avenue |
Thursday | From 159th Street north to 155th Street between Central Park Avenue and Kedzie Avenue; from 159th Street north and east to Calitonia between Rockwell Street and Kedzie Avenue; and that portion of the city lying west of Interstate 57 east of Crawford Avenue, south of 149th Street and north of 159th Street |

(2) All are as depicted on the map appended to the ordinance codified herein as “Exhibit A”, which map is incorporated herein by reference and made a part hereof as though fully set forth.
(B) It shall be mandatory for every household or other residential establishment within the city to provide for the collection of such garbage, refuse or rubbish and to place the same in proper containers for pickup by the licensed scavenger or the city’s Department of Sanitation in accordance with the schedule in this section.
(C) All institutional, commercial and industrial garbage and refuse shall be collected daily, except Sunday; rubbish shall be collected at least weekly.
