All full-time Village employees shall maintain their place of residence within five (5) miles of the corporate limits, with the following exceptions:
(A) Current employees residing outside the prescribed area may continue to do so.
(B) Employees who are appointed on, or after, October 1, 1990, and who reside outside the prescribed area as of the effective date of their appointment must comply with the residency requirement prior to the completion of one hundred eighty (180) days of service, unless said residence requirement is altered or waived by the Mayor and Board of Trustees. (C) Clerical employees and such other position classifications as may be determined by the Board of Trustees not to be subject to emergency recall shall be exempt from the foregoing residency limitation.
(D) Current employees who are separated from the service of the Village and later resume employment by the Village must comply with the residency requirement.
(E) Residence shall be as determined by statute for voting purposes.
