A. Program Adopted: The identity theft prevention program has been adopted by the city in compliance with the fair and accurate credit transactions act of 2003. The program is designed to detect, prevent, and mitigate identity theft in connection with the opening of or access to any water or sewer services account.
B. Implementation And Administration: The identity theft prevention program shall be implemented and administered by the city finance director- treasurer as the program administrator.
C. Changes To Program: Changes to the identity theft prevention program of a day to day operational character and decisions relating to the interpretation and implementation of the program may be made by the program administrator. However, major changes or shifts of policy positions under the program shall only be made by the city council. (Ord. 2231, 10-27-2008; amd. 2013 Code)
