ADOPTING ORDINANCE

ORDINANCE NO. 3082

   AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING PROPOSED ORDINANCES FOR THE CITY CODE

BE IT ORDAINED by the mayor and city council of the city of Marion, state of Illinois, as follows:

   Section 1: Sterling Codifiers has drafted certain ordinances to be compiled as the city code.

   Section 2: There exists within those documents ordinances that have not yet been adopted by the city, (new ordinance), and ordinances that modify ordinances that have been previously adopted by the city.

   Section 3: Any modifications made to the previous ordinances by the proposed codification of the official city code is hereby adopted as amended as the proper and correct ordinance of the city of Marion.

   Section 4: The new ordinances that are presented for codification, are hereby officially adopted by the city of Marion as ordinances for the city.

   Section 5: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.

This ordinance shall take effect and be in effect after passage and publication according to law.
