§ 112.01 RATIFICATION OF PRIOR FRANCHISES.
   The city hereby ratifies all cable television franchises and all amendments to those franchises approved by the city prior to the adoption of this code.

§ 112.02 OBTAINING A FRANCHISE.
   Whenever a cable television company wishes to obtain a franchise, it shall submit a proposed ordinance and agreement to the City Council for consideration.

§ 112.03 RENEWING OR AMENDING FRANCHISE.
   If an existing cable television company, with an existing franchise, shall attempt to renew or amend its franchise, it shall in like manner submit an amending ordinance and franchise to the City Council for its consideration.

§ 112.04 COMPLIANCE.
   Upon approval by the City Council, the ordinance and agreement shall be referred to the Marion Board of Public Works and Safety to check compliance, and the Board of Public Works and Safety shall insure that every aspect of the agreement and ordinance is fully complied with by the cable company, whether a new company or a renewal or amendment.
