Where openings have been or are to be made in a sidewalk, restoration of the sidewalk shall be done by the permittee unless otherwise authorized as set forth in § 55.04. In all cases, the entire work shall be carried out under the direction of and to the satisfaction of the Village Engineer or the Building Commissioner and in accordance with rules, regulations, and specifications as hereinafter set out in § 55.09.
