1242.06 ACCEPTANCE OF STREETS.
   Following the completion of the permanent paving, but not sooner than June 1 of the year following the completion of such pavement, an inspection of all improvements installed by the owner pursuant to the relevant provisions of Chapters 1020, 1024, 1040 and 1044 of the Streets, Utilities and Public Services Code, and Chapter 1468 of the Building and Housing Code, shall be made by the Councilperson of the district wherein the streets are located, the Public Works and Streets Committee of Council and the City Engineer. Any defect disclosed by this inspection shall be corrected by the owner. As soon as the improvements, installed by the owner, have been approved by Council, the owner shall file with the Director of Law an abstract, certificate of title, guarantee of title, or title insurance in the amount of the cost of improvements, meeting with the approval of the Director of Law, showing the title to the street or streets in the allotment to be good in the City for street purposes and to be free and clear from all incumbrances whatsoever. Council will then approve the plat for the acceptance of the dedication of the street areas therein contained, will accept the streets as City streets and will release and substitute bonds as required.
