303.99 GENERAL TRAFFIC CODE PENALTIES.
   (a)   General Misdemeanor Classifications. Whoever violates any provision of this Traffic Code for which violation no penalty is otherwise provided, is guilty of a minor misdemeanor.
   (b)   Penalties. Whoever is convicted of or pleads guilty to a violation of this Traffic Code shall be imprisoned for a definite term or fined, or both, which term of imprisonment and fine shall be fixed by the court as provided in this section.

   (c)   Parking Fines. Notwithstanding any other provision of this Traffic Code, the Service-Safety Director is authorized to post citation collection boxes at various locations in the City, and in lieu of any other fine or costs provided by this chapter, the recipient of a citation or parking ticket may pay a fine for the offenses hereinbelow listed and in the amount as shown thereon by deposit in a citation collection box, in person at the Traffic Violations Bureau, or by mail for each violation charged against the recipient upon such citation:
      (1)   Whoever violates any provision of Sections 351.03, 351.04(a) to (d), 351.09 to 351.13, 351.15, 351.16 or 355.01(i) shall pay a fine of ten dollars ($10.00) if the violator pays such citation or ticket within ten calendar days from the time noted thereon; otherwise, after the expiration of ten calendar days, the violator shall be fined twenty dollars ($20.00).
      (2)   Whoever violates any provision of Section 353.06(e) shall pay a fine of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) if the violator pays such citation or ticket within ten calendar days from the time noted thereon; otherwise, after the expiration of ten calendar days, the violator shall be fined thirty-five dollars ($35.00).
      (3)   Whoever violates any provision of Sections 353.03 to 353.06(a) to (c) or 355.01(h) shall pay a fine of five dollars ($5.00) if the violator pays such citation or ticket within ten calendar days from the time noted thereon; otherwise, after the expiration of ten calendar days, the violator shall be fined twenty dollar ($20.00) if paid after the expiration of ten calendar days.
      (4)   Whoever violates any provision of Section 351.04(e) to (h) shall pay a fine of two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) if the violator pays such citation or ticket within ten calendar days from the time noted thereon; otherwise, the violator shall pay a fine of three hundred fifty dollars ($350.00), if paid after the expiration of ten calendar days. However, an offender who violates Section 351.04(f) of this section shall be fined not more than ten dollars if the offender, prior to sentencing, proves that Section 351.04(g)(1) or (2) is applicable.
