171.02 ADDITIONAL AND QUALIFICATION PAY.

   When the salary or wage of a permanent employee of the City increases by reason of time served in position, by reason of qualification attainment or by other operation of law, such increased salary or wage shall take effect with the first day of the pay period next following completion of time served in position or with the first day of the pay period next following after the approval of evidence of such qualification by the Service or Safety Director or other authorized officer.
