103.01 OFFICIAL FLAG.
The flag of the City is pennant shaped and has three red and two white alternating stripes perpendicular to the staff end thereof. The flag has a blue triangular field with its base along the staff end and its apex being located at the center of the middle red stripe. The center of the blue triangular field shall contain a large red letter "M" with an outline of white and positioned to be vertical with the length of the flag. Below the letter M shall be the white numbers 1808 indicating the year Mansfield was founded. Along the staff end of the blue triangular field shall be the red letters OHIO with a line of five five-pointed stars separating the H from the I and with lines of six five-pointed stars separating the aforementioned letters from the letters O located at the ends of the triangle base. These seventeen stars signify Ohio as the 17th state to join the Union. The proportional dimensions of the flag and its various parts are in accordance with the official design on file in the office of the Clerk of Council.
