1355.02 PERMIT APPROVAL; POLICE ESCORT AND CONDITIONS.
Before any permit for moving any structure or building is issued, it shall be approved by the Director of Public Works.
Whenever it is deemed necessary in the public interest, the Director may require that such moving operations be conducted under the supervision of off-duty policemen as shall reasonably be required to safeguard life and property during the course of moving operations. The charge therefor shall be negotiated between them and the mover and paid by the mover. The Director may prescribe in writing, reasonable conditions, requirements, routes and precautions, and the days and hours of the day during which such moving operations shall be conducted, as deemed necessary in the public interest. All moving operations shall be performed in conformity therewith.
