MINNESOTA UNIFORM FIRE CODE
§ 95.01 ADOPTION.
   The Minnesota Uniform Fire Code, 1 copy of which has been marked as the official copy and which is on file in the office of the City Clerk-Treasurer, is hereby adopted as the fire code for the city for the purpose of prescribing regulations governing conditions hazardous to life and property from fire or explosion. Every provision contained in this code is hereby adopted and made a part of this subchapter as if fully set forth herein.

§ 95.02 ENFORCEMENT.
   The Chief of the Fire Department may detail the members of the Fire Department as inspectors as shall from time to time be necessary. The Chief of the Fire Department may recommend the employment of technical inspectors, who, when the authorization is made, shall be selected through an examination to determine their fitness for the position. The examination shall be open to members and nonmembers of the Fire Department, and appointments made after examination shall be for an indefinite term with removal only for cause.

§ 95.03 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   CORPORATION COUNSEL. As used in the Minnesota Uniform Fire Code, it shall be held to mean the Attorney for the City of Madison Lake.
   JURISDICTION. As used in the Minnesota Uniform Fire Code, it shall be held to mean the City of Madison Lake.

§ 95.04 LIMITS.
   (A)   The establishment of limits of districts in which storage of flammable or combustible liquids in outside above-ground tanks is to be prohibited. The limits are detailed in Chapter 7510, Minnesota Uniform Fire Code, as it may be amended from time to time. The limits in which new bulk plants for flammable or combustible liquids are prohibited are set forth in § 7510.3650 of the Minnesota Uniform Fire Code, as it may be amended from time to time.
   (B)   The establishment of limits in which bulk storage of liquefied petroleum gases is to be restricted. The limits referred to in the Minnesota Uniform Fire Code, in which bulk storage of liquefied petroleum gas is restricted, are the heavily populated and the congested commercial areas.
   (C)   The establishment of limits of districts in which storage of explosives and blasting agents is to be prohibited. The limits referred to in the Minnesota Uniform Fire Code in which storage of explosives and blasting agents is prohibited are in the principal business district, closely-built commercial areas, and heavily populated areas.
