Non-Conforming Uses
 
1167.01   General regulations.
1167.02   Discontinuance or abandonment.

1167.01 GENERAL REGULATIONS.
   Any lawful use of any dwelling, building, structure, or land not conforming to the district in which it is located, and existing at the effective date of this Ordinance or a later amendment thereof, shall be termed a legal, non-conforming use, even though such use does not conform to the provisions hereof. If no structural alterations are made, a non-conforming use of a building may be changed to another non-conforming use of the same or of a more restricted classification. Whenever a non-conforming use has been changed to a more restricted use or to a conforming use, such use shall not thereafter be changed to a less restricted use. The non-conforming use of a building may be extended throughout those parts thereof which were manifestly arranged or designed for such use at the time of the adoption of this Ordinance. No non-conforming building or structure shall be moved, extended, enlarged, or altered, except when authorized by the Board of Appeals.

1167.02 DISCONTINUANCE OR ABANDONMENT.
   If any such non-conforming uses of land are discontinued or abandoned for more than two years, any subsequent use of such land shall conform to the regulations specified by this Ordinance for the district in which such land is located.
