(a) No Solicitation List. Any resident or business within the City of Loveland may file a notice of no solicitation with the Police Department, which shall be on a form provided by the Police Department. The Police Department shall maintain a list of all residents or businesses within the community, by street address, that have a notice of no solicitation on file with the Police Department and shall provide all commercial solicitors or noncommercial solicitors with an updated copy of the list concurrently with the issuance of a solicitation permit. No person soliciting sales shall enter upon such residential or business property where such property has been identified on the “no solicitation list”. The Police Department will regulate and update the no solicitation list.
(b) It shall be unlawful for any person while conducting business or activity as a solicitor, hawker or peddler in the City, to enter upon the premises of any private residence, business or organization (whether public or private) where there is conspicuously posted at the entry of the premises or at the entry of the principal building on the premises, or at the entrance to a subdivision as determined by a subdivision’s recognized Homeowner’s Association, a notice in English bearing the words “No Soliciting”, “No Hawking”, “No Peddlers”, “No Trespassing” or sign of similar import that communicates the occupants’ or owners’ intent and desire not to be contacted by peddlers or solicitors and that such persons going door to door are not invited onto the premises.
(c) The “notice” referenced in subsection (a) above shall be in the form of a weatherproof card, decal or sign with letters in plain view and readable to a person with normal vision. (Ord. 2016-93. Passed 11-22-16.)
