155.06 HOLIDAYS.
   Full-time employees, after completing six months' probationary employment, will be entitled to all federally recognized holidays, with the exception of Washington’s Birthday (Presidents Day) and Columbus Day. Washington’s Birthday (President’s Day) shall be replaced by Good Friday, and Columbus Day shall be replaced by the day after Thanksgiving. In addition, full-time employees receive three floating holidays, to be treated as vacation, at the discretion of the employee with approval of his/her supervisor. If a holiday falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday will be observed as the day off. If a holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday will be observed as the day off. An employee required by the city to work on a nondiscretionary holiday shall be paid his or her regular rate of pay plus time and one-half.
