(a) Certificate Required. No contractor shall perform any work within the City without a current Certificate of Contractor Registration from the City Manager or assignee. This registration requirement applies to the following contractors:
Concrete/Asphalt
Deck Installers
Demolition
Electrical
Excavation/Tapping
Fence Installers
Fire Protection and Suppression (Commercial)
General Contractors
Heating/Cooling/Ventilation
Landscaping
Masonry
Plumbing
Roofing/Siding
Sign
(b) Failure to Register. Registration and/or renewal is required annually in December to perform work in the City the following calendar year. Any contractor who fails to register prior to performing work, and continues to perform work in the City that requires a permit, will be in violation of this Chapter. Any contractor, who is found to be performing work without a license in violation of this Chapter, will be notified by the City Manager or assignee. Such contractor must register within ten days of notification and will be charged an additional administrative fee of twice the registration cost, as specified in Section 701.06 herein. (Ord. 15-48.
