The Building Inspector, deputies and assistant inspectors shall receive such compensation for their services as the City Manager may from time to time determine, and each shall, before entering upon the duties of his office, give bond for the faithful performance of his duties in such sum and with such surety as may from time to time be required by Council. The obligee of the bond shall be the City.
