EDITOR'S NOTE: A Comprehensive Plan for the County, the Resources Management Plan, has been prepared and promulgated by the Department of Planning and the Planning Commission of the County and was officially adopted by the Board of Supervisors on May 21, 1979. Copies are available for inspection and/or purchase at the Department of Planning in the County Administration Building in Leesburg. The Resources Management Plan is the first phase of the new Comprehensive Planning Program for the County, and replaces the Comprehensive Development Plan adopted in 1969. Additional elements of the Comprehensive Plan are being prepared by the Department of Planning and the Planning Commission, and will be considered for adoption by the Board of Supervisors, following due advertisement and public hearings.
