The purpose of this chapter is to provide for the necessary curtailment of water usage through voluntary and mandatory restrictions or prohibitions during a water supply shortage situation affecting the County and any adjacent areas that are served in whole or in part by the potable and non-potable public water systems operated by the Loudoun County Sanitation Authority, doing business as “Loudoun Water” (Loudoun Water), or portions thereof.
