(a) Building and other applicable permits shall be obtained before any water recreation facility regulated under this chapter may be constructed. A building permit or other applicable permits may be required from the building official(s) before the remodeling of a water recreation facility regulated under this chapter. Plans and specifications shall have been approved by the Director prior to the issuance of such permits.
(b) If a building permit is not required, plans and specifications for the remodeling of a water recreation facility regulated under this chapter shall be submitted to the Director for review and approval.
(c) The approval of any plans or specifications shall not be viewed to be a determination that the said plans or specifications are free from error. The owner shall have final responsibility for the accuracy and completeness of the plans and specifications, as well as for subsequent construction and installation.
(d) The requirements of this chapter are in addition to the requirements of all other applicable ordinances and codes, including but not limited to, plumbing, building, electrical, mechanical, zoning, and fire.
