(a) Developed Residential Property. It shall be unlawful for any owner of any occupied residential lot or parcel which is less than one-half acre (21,780 square feet) or any vacant developed residential lot or parcel which is less than one-half acre (21,780 square feet) to permit the growth of any grass or lawn area to reach more than 12 inches in height/length.
(b) Undeveloped Residential Property. It shall be unlawful for any owner of any undeveloped residential lot or parcel which is less than one-half acre (21,780 square feet) to permit the growth of any grass or lawn area to reach more than 12 inches in height/length.
(c) Commercial/Industrial Property. It shall be unlawful for any owner of any vacant developed commercial/industrial property to permit any growth of any grass or lawn area of more than 12 inches in height/length.
(d) Exemptions. Detention ponds; rights-of-way through residential, commercial, and industrial properties; park lands; and conservation and open space easements approved by Loudoun County are specifically exempted from the provisions of this chapter. This section shall not apply to land zoned for or in active farming operation.
