(a) The City of Los Angeles declares that it desires to qualify to receive aid from the State of California pursuant to the provisions of Penal Code Section 13522.
(b) In order to so qualify, the Board of Police Commissioners is hereby authorized and directed to adhere to the standards for recruitment and training of Public Safety Dispatchers established pursuant to the provisions of Penal Code Section 13510 by the California Commission on Peace Officers standards and training, hereinafter referred to as “Commission”.
(c) The Commission and its representatives may make such inquiries as deemed appropriate to ascertain that the City of Los Angeles is adhering to the aforementioned standards.
