§ 5-3-5 C-1 NEIGHBORHOOD COMMERCIAL DISTRICT.
   (A)   Applicable provisions. The provisions of Chapter 1 of this title are applicable to all C-1 Districts, subject to the specific provisions of this section.
   (B)   Intent.
      1.   The Neighborhood Commercial District is intended to improve and protect the commercial characteristics of the downtown wherein a full range of retail services and professional and governmental offices may be accommodated. This designation provides for a maximum ten acre grouping of commercial establishments serving the everyday convenience goods and personal service needs of a defined neighborhood. The service radius of a neighborhood commercial use is typically one-half mile.
      2.   As per the general plan, all C-1 sites should be located at or near the intersection of collector and/or arterial streets with a minimum of overlap with other existing or planned neighborhood commercial uses. Only one neighborhood commercial development should be located at any one intersection. Such development should also be accessible from adjacent residential development. New development shall conform to design guide standards.
   (C)   Permitted uses and development standards. Please refer to §§ 5-3-15 through 5-3-17 , Tables 2 through 9, of this chapter for an indication of permitted uses and development standards for the C-1 District.
