The City Treasurer shall receive all money referred to in § 52.72 above from the City Clerk and derived from the operation of the water system as the same may be delivered to him or her, and deposit the same in a separate fund designated as the “Water Fund” and shall divide and administer the Water Fund in every respect and in the manner provided in the bond ordinance heretofore passed by the City Council authorizing the issuance of water revenue bonds for the expansion and extension of the existing water system. The City Treasurer shall establish a proper system of accounts and shall keep proper books, records, and accounts separate and apart from all records and accounts in which complete and correct entries shall be made of all transactions relating to the water system.
