§ 94.53 CUTTING SHRUBBERY AND HEDGE REQUIRED; ABATEMENT.
   (A)   Every owner of real estate located in the city and abutting upon any public street or public alley in the city shall keep the vegetation, brush, and shrubbery (other than shrubbery planted on that real estate by the owner thereof or his or her predecessors in title thereto for ornamental purposes) cut down on that real estate, and shall keep any and all hedge, including ornamental hedge growing on any real estate, cut to a height not to exceed 4 feet.
   (B)   Any owner of real estate in the city who shall fail to comply with the provisions of this section within 5 days after being notified in writing to do so by the Mayor, Superintendent of Streets, or any police officer of the city shall be deemed guilty of maintaining a nuisance.
