The chief of police is hereby vested with the authority to direct, control and regulate traffic through the temporary designation and posting of signs or other traffic control devices. Any sign or device posted per order of the chief of police shall be deemed an official sign and shall be valid for as long as public safety requires. (Ord. 96-2754, 3-18-1996)
