At those locations determined by the board of trustees of the village to require a marked crosswalk to assist pedestrians in traversing a street, road or highway, said crosswalk shall be marked by paint striping or other designation upon the roadway and proper signage shall provide notice to oncoming cars of the existence of such a crosswalk.
Wherever pedestrian crosswalks have been designated, all vehicular traffic shall yield to any and all pedestrians present within said crosswalk before proceeding. Any person who shall fail to so yield shall be fined as established by Title 1, Chapter 20, “Fees, Fines, Insurance, Guarantees, and Regulatory Measures” for each offense.
