The driver of a vehicle upon any public street or highway within the Village, upon meeting or overtaking from either direction any school bus which has stopped on such street or highway for the purpose of receiving or discharging any school children, shall stop said vehicle before reaching said school bus when there is in operation on said bus a visual signal as specified in 625 Illinois Compiled Statutes 5/11-1414.
Any person violating any provision of this section shall be fined as established by Title 1, Chapter 20, “Fees, Fines, Insurance, Guarantees, and Regulatory Measures” for each offense. (Ord. 96-2776, 5-20-1996; amd. Ord. 2021-4921, 9-20-2021)
