No person shall operate any motor vehicle in the village unless such motor vehicle is muffled to the maximum extent practicable so as to prevent unnecessary noise, and further, no person shall operate any motor vehicle in the village so as to cause unnecessary noise by rapid acceleration or deceleration of the vehicle, or by racing of the engine or by squealing or screeching of the tires on pavement 1 .
Every person convicted of a violation of this section shall be punished by a fine as established by Title 1, Chapter 20, “Fees, Fines, Insurance, Guarantees, and Regulatory Measures”. (Ord. 96-2776, 5-20-1996; amd. Ord. 2021-4921, 9-20-2021)
