The Senior Citizen Coordinator shall:
(a) Oversee and manage all senior citizen activities as sponsored by the City;
(b) Develop and manage the budget operation of the City-sponsored senior citizen clubs;
(c) Supervise part-time employees (senior assistants and building supervisors);
(d) Coordinate and evaluate existing travel programs of senior citizen clubs and form travel clubs;
(e) Promote and advise of senior citizen activities and programs for senior citizens of the community;
Represent the City at Senior Citizens Commission meetings and executive board meetings of the existing senior citizen clubs;
(g) Develop senior citizen activities outside of the senior facility, including golf and bowling leagues;
(h) Develop swimming activities and other physical activity programs that are health-oriented;
Develop a speakers bureau of programs to be presented to seniors;
Develop a network of low cost home repair opportunities for seniors;
(k) Develop options for part-time employment for seniors in areas of grass cutting and other home-oriented services;
Coordinate and prepare grants and grant applications through the County Office on Aging and other related funding agencies;
(m) Serve on regional boards and coordinate City participation in regional senior-oriented events; and
(n) As a part-time employee, perform twenty hours of service per week.
