(A) If no funds are available from any source, the City shall pay the burial expenses of indigent City residents, not to exceed the following:
Funeral: $1,000.00
Grave opening/closing: $1,000.00
(B) When it is necessary that a body be conveyed from a distant point to the City for burial, a transportation fee of fifty cents ($0.50) per mile for trips exceeding 30 miles may be allowed, but the total payment shall not exceed forty-five dollars ($45.00).
