To complement existing fire protection and emergency rescue services, the Fire Department is authorized to provide complete emergency medical transportation services within the City, including the transportation of patients from an original call-for-service location to a hospital or urgent medical care facility located within the City. The Fire Department is authorized to charge a fee for such services as authorized by the Mayor.
