(a) Any news media organization that desires to be given advance notification of a public meeting regulated herein shall file with the Village Clerk and/or Fiscal Officer a written requst thereof that specifies the name or names of the public body that is subject to the request, the name of the news media organization, the name and address of the person to whom written notification to the news media organization may be mailed, delivered, or transmited, and the names, addresses, and telephone numbers of at least two persons to either one of whom oral notification of the public meeting regulated herein may be given. Any such request shall be effective for a period of one year from the date of filing with the Village Clerk and/or Fiscal Officer. The Village Clerk and/or Fiscal Officer should give such oral notification or written notification or both as said official determines to said requesting news media organization as soon as practical, and except for emergency meetings of Council, at least twenty-four hours in advance of the public meeting.
(b) Any person that desires to be given advance notification of a public meeting regulated herein in which any specific type of public business is to be discussed, shall file with the Village Clerk and/or Fiscal Officer a written request thereof that specifies the name or names of the public body that is subject to the request, as well as the name, address and telephone number of the requestor to whom oral and/or written notification can be mailed, delivered or otherwise transmitted, or given. Any such request shall be effective for a period of three months from the date of filing with the Village Clerk and/or Fiscal Officer. The Village Clerk and/or Fiscal Officer should give such oral notification or written notification or both as said official determines to said requesting person as soon as practical, and except for emergency meetings of Council, at least twenty-four hours in advance of the public meeting.
