951.02 ACCUMULATION OF GARBAGE AND REFUSE.
   No owner, tenant, or lessee of any public or private premise shall permit to accumulate upon his premise any garbage or refuse except in covered containers as are herein approved by Council. Such containers should be strong plastic or lawn-and-leaf garbage bags or cans constructed of metal in such manner as to be strong, not easily corrodible, rodent proof, and shall have a capacity of not more than twenty-seven gallons unless otherwise approved by the Municipal Manager, and shall have tight covers, same to be in place at all times, except when refuse is being deposited therein or removed therefrom. Boxes, papers, tree cuttings, and odd articles shall be crushed and/or bundled in lengths not to exceed four feet and not to exceed fifty pounds in weight. All garbage must be wrapped. Carpet, mattresses, box springs, and upholstered furniture must be wrapped in plastic and taped shut. Contractor tree trimmings and other debris will not be picked up, and must be otherwise disposed of by the contractor and/or the landowner. The Municipal Manager may require dumpsters for commercial establishments for the health and welfare of the Village. (Ord. 2017-16. Passed 11-16-17.)
