§ 353.03 DEPOSIT OF COIN REQUIRED; ILLEGAL PARKING.
   (A)   No person shall cause, allow or permit a vehicle to occupy a parking meter space during the hours when the provision applicable to the space are in effect, unless he or she shall deposit the lawful payment of appropriate denomination in the adjacent parking meter or area kiosk, as required by directions.
   (B)   The person is not required to deposit a payment for a meter which indicates a balance of unused parking time left by the previous occupant of the space, so long as his or her occupancy of the space does not exceed the indicated unused parking time.
   (C)   The parking meter space may be lawfully occupied by a vehicle during the balance of legal parking time shown on the meter provided the occupancy does not exceed the established maximum time limit.
   (D)   No person shall fail to comply with directions displayed on the parking meter or kiosk.
   (E)   No person shall cause, allow or permit a vehicle to occupy a meter space beyond the maximum consecutive parking time limit lawfully prescribed, for the particular space occupied, by appropriate notice on the meter or on posted signs.
   (F)   Each two hours of continued violation of this section shall constitute a separate offense.

   (G)   Council recommends adoption of the following fine schedule by the Municipal Court for violations of this section:
      (1)   If paid within 72 hours of violation, $20.
      (2)   If paid thereafter, $40.
