§ 132.01  DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   FIREARM.  Any device, by whatever known, which is designed to expel a projectile or projectiles by the action of an explosion, expansion of gas or escape of gas, air gun, BB gun or pellet gun projecting any lead or any missiles.
   HANDGUN.  Any firearm which is:
      (1)   Designed or redesigned or made or remade, and intended to be fired while held in one hand;
      (2)   Having a barrel of less than ten inches in length; or
      (3)   A firearm of a size which may be concealed upon the person.
   LICENSED GUN CLUB.  A club or organization, organized for the purpose of practicing shooting at targets, licensed by the city.
   PERSON.  Any individual, corporation, company, association, firm, partnership, club, society or joint stock company.

§ 132.02  DISCHARGE OF CANNON, FIREARMS; GENERALLY.
   The Chief of Police and the Mayor and may authorize the discharge of cannons and firearms in commemoration of any important event.
