§ 100.19  APPROVAL OF ADDITIONS TO PUBLIC PARKS.
   Additions to the public parks of the city shall be subject to the approval of the Board of Public Works and Safety.

§ 100.20  APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR OF PARKS AND RECREATION.
   The Director of Parks and Recreation shall be appointed by the Mayor and Common Council from applicants interviewed and recommended by the Board of Parks and Recreation.

RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR PARKS AND OTHER RECREATIONAL AREAS
§ 100.35  PURPOSE.
   The purpose of this subchapter is to establish reasonable and responsible rules for those individuals who use the parks and other recreational areas owned and operated by the city. This subchapter is necessary to ensure that residents fully enjoy leisure and recreational activities available in city parks and other recreational areas and to protect health and safety of persons using the parks and other recreational areas.

§ 100.36  PARKS AND RECREATIONAL AREAS DEFINED.
   The words PARKS AND OTHER RECREATIONAL AREAS shall include, but not be limited to, any lands, buildings, structures, waters, parks, trails, drives and roadways in the city that are under the jurisdiction and control of the city and the City Parks and Recreation Department.

§ 100.37  PARK HOURS.
   No person shall enter or remain in any park or other recreational area in the city after the park or recreational area is closed to the public. Parks and other recreational areas in the city open to the public at dawn and close at 11:00 p.m. or at the conclusion of park approved activities, whichever is later.

§ 100.38  PROHIBITED PERSONS.
   Individuals required by state law to register on the state sex offender registry published and disseminated by the State Criminal Justice Institute (“sex offenders”) are prohibited from all parks and other recreational areas of the city. This prohibition applies to any individuals convicted of a crime requiring registration after the adoption of this subchapter.
