IMPOUNDMENT
(A) All dogs and cats taken to the city dog pound pursuant to the provisions of this subchapter shall be disposed of as follows.
(1) Licensed. All licensed dogs and cats will be identified and the owners notified. These dogs and cats will be held in the pound for a period of seven days to be claimed by the owner. In the event the owner claims a dog or cat, he or she shall pay the fine set out in § 91.56 before the dog will be released.
(2) Unlicensed. All unlicensed dogs and cats will be considered stray. These dogs and cats shall be held in the pound for a period of three days. In the event the owner of a dog or cat claims him or her within that period, he or she shall present proof of the purchase of a license therefor and in addition shall pay the fine set out in § 91.56.
(B) In addition to the charges set out above for license, the owner shall be responsible for payment of the board of the dog during the period it was held in the pound or detention facility. The board per animal per day is established as $5 and may be amended at the discretion of the city’s Financial Board.
(C) In the event any dog remains unclaimed at the end of the period set out in divisions (A)(1) and (A)(2) of this section, it shall be taken care of in a humane manner by the operator of the animal pound.

(A) There is hereby established the following schedule of fines to be imposed on the owners of dogs claimed at the animal pound:
(1) For the first offense, $25;
(2) For the second offense, $50; and
(3) For all subsequent offenses, $100.
(B) These fines shall be collected by the operator of the city animal pound and remitted at the close of each day to the Clerk-Treasurer of the city. These fines shall be deposited in the special fund set out in § 91.38.

(A) Any person violating any provision of this chapter, for which no other penalty is provided, shall be subject to the penalty provisions of § 10.99.
(B) (1) Any violation of § 91.19 shall constitute a violation punishable by a fine of not more than $25.
(2) For the purposes of enforcing the provisions of § 91.19, summons and court citations may be issued by all authorized park personnel, Street Department personnel, police officers, reserve police officers and their authorized deputies, Fire Department personnel and the Building Inspector of the city and his or her authorized designees.
