Police escorts are required for certain vehicles and loads in excess of one hundred fifty thousand (150,000) pounds, or that are wider than fourteen feet (14'), higher than fifteen feet (15'), and/or longer than one hundred feet (100'). The total number of officers necessary to provide for a safe movement shall be determined by the Police Department, based on the size and weight of the permitted movement. Fees for escorts shall be paid by the permittee in addition to the permit fees set forth herein. Fees for escorts shall be pursuant to title 13, chapter 1, "Fee Schedule", of this Code.
