5-2-5: KENNELS AND CATTERIES:
   A.   Licenses Required; Exemptions: No person shall engage in the business of operating a dog kennel or a cattery without first having obtained a license therefor.
In case the business of buying, selling or dealing in birds, dogs and other small animals used as household pets or for domestic purposes is conducted or carried on in connection with the business of a dog kennel or a cattery in the same premises, and by the same person, then only one license need be obtained, and that license shall be that which requires the payment of the highest license fee under either of the two (2) license provisions of this Code.
Any person licensed to operate a kennel shall be exempt from the payment of the dog registry fee for each and every dog which is kept in any licensed kennel. (1989 Code; amd. Ord. 2009-06-621, 6-15-2009)
