This articles regulates the use of sewers and private wastewater disposal and the discharge of wastewater into the Village of Lake Zurich's wastewater collection and transportation system and the County of Lake's treatment system, and establishes uniform standards for such discharges. The purposes and policies of this article are:
A. To regulate private wastewater disposal systems;
B. To prevent the introduction of pollutants into the Village's wastewater collection and transportation system or the County's treatment system that would interfere with the operation of those systems, including interference with their handling, use, or disposal of municipal sludge;
C. To prevent the introduction of pollutants into those systems that would pass through, or otherwise be incompatible with, those systems; and
D. To improve opportunities to recycle and reclaim municipal and industrial wastewater and sludge. (Ord. 94-10-695, 10-3-1994)
