3-1-14: APPEAL OF SUSPENSION OR REVOCATION:
Any person aggrieved by the village manager's suspension or revocation of a license shall have a right to appeal such decision to the board of trustees. Within ten (10) days after receipt of the village manager's notice of suspension or revocation, the licensee may request in writing a hearing on the village manager's decision. The licensee shall be given five (5) days' advance notice of the hearing date. The hearing shall be public. At the hearing, the licensee may present and submit evidence and witnesses to rebut the reasons cited by the village manager for suspending or revoking the license. The village manager may present and submit evidence on behalf of the village. Within ten (10) days after close of the hearing, the board of trustees may confirm the village manager's suspension or revocation, or reinstate any such license. If the board of trustees does not act on the appeal within ten (10) days after the close of the hearing, then the applicant's appeal shall be deemed denied.
