Whenever a provision of the Residential Code of Ohio, as adopted in Section 1301.01, conflicts with a provision of the Ohio Fire Code, or any other order, standard or rule of the Ohio Department of Commerce, Division of State Fire Marshal, the rules of the Ohio Board of Building Standards shall supersede and govern any order, standard, or rule of the division of labor in the department of commerce, division of the state fire marshal, the department of health and of counties and townships, in all cases where such orders, standards, or rules are in conflict with the rules of the board, except that rules adopted and orders issued by the state fire marshal pursuant to Chapter 3743, of the Revised Code prevail in the event of a conflict.
