The
Zoning Code of the City of Lakewood is adopted to promote and protect the public health, safety, convenience, comfort, prosperity, and general welfare of the citizens of the City by dividing the City into districts in which specific uses and structures are permitted and regulated, thereby assuring the compatibility of uses and practices within districts; stabilizing said uses, conserving property values, and securing the most appropriate use of land within the City.
