Good sawed stone flagging is deemed acceptable material for sidewalks, but in no case shall it be less than two and one-half inches thick. No flagging shall be less than two and one-half feet wide laid lengthwise to the street, and any length breadthwise to the street shall be of the full width of the walk, unless such walk exceeds six feet in width.
