903.03 SIDEWALK WIDTHS.
   (a)   On all streets and alleys of not less than thirty-three or more than forty feet in width, the sidewalks shall be not less than four feet wide. On all streets not less than forty nor more than sixty feet in width all sidewalks shall be not less than five feet wide.
   (b)   On all streets more than sixty feet wide and on all main streets or east and west thoroughfares, except Clifton Boulevard, all sidewalks shall be not less than six feet wide. However, on any street which is not a main street or an east and west thoroughfare, but is nevertheless devoted entirely to residences, the sidewalks shall be not less than five feet wide.
   (c)   On Clifton Boulevard, all sidewalks shall be not less than five feet wide.
   (d)   Where trees within the public right of way render it impossible or impractical for the sidewalks to be constructed in accordance with the above prescribed sidewalk widths, such sidewalks shall be constructed under the direction of and to the acceptance of the Director of Public Works.
